Selection Pin Interlock for a Typewriter

In U. S. Patent 4,059,184, a selection pin slide arrangement is disclosed wherein coded signals or the like serve to release slides to permit selected selection pins to come into contact with a rotary selection cam to operate both the tilt and the rotate function on a single element typewriter. Disclosed here is an additional interlock to prevent a selection pin from dropping into the selection cam at the wrong time, causing breakage of parts.
