The PCS (programmable character sets) feature consists of a loadable store in which character definitions in the form of 9 x 16 bit or 9 x 12 bit images may be loaded. These character definitions may then be displayed on any part of a screen by referring to them via the loadable character buffer and extended attribute buffer also located in the display head.
