Magnetic Print Wire Actuator

In this device, the print wire return or drive spring customarily provided with print magnets is eliminated. Print magnets normally use a spring to restore or drive the armature, unless they are of the push-pull variety. In the device illustrated, a permanent magnet restores and holds the armature in the normal or home position.
