The device illustrated features elimination of long curved print wires, and spring adjustment does not affect wire length. The low mass of print wire and armature result in high speed. Spring placement on top of the armature eliminates a push rod and acts on the center line of the armature and print wire. The armature is rotatable, resulting in longer wear of the print wire tip. Inclusion of a forward stop prevents the print wire from projecting out and being broken off. The combination of wire guide and print magnet result in an inexpensive and easy-to-build assembly.
