Abstract

A tape cable stripper receives a tape cable 1 between a pair of parallel guides 10 on the top surface of base 11. The cable (not shown in Fig. 1) is inserted in the direction of the arrow past blades 5 mounted on upper and lower blade mount blocks 6 and 7, until stopped by a pair of pins 12 projecting from block 7. Blocks 6 and 7 are retained together by a pair or retaining pins 13. The upper block 6 is slidable towards lower block 7 on pins 13 to effect the cutting, but is biased away by coil springs around the pins. Block 7 is mounted for sideways sliding motion on pins (not visible) projecting from the right-hand face of base 11.
