Flux Programmable Memories

This article relates to a read-mostly memory (or read-only memory) which can be programmed in an alterable and reversible fashion using the storage and transportation of flux quanta or vortices directly underneath Josephson elements. The flux quanta are not stored in the Josephson elements themselves. Such memories promise high density and fast access time.
