This sheet shingler operates on the wave generator principle disclosed in U. S. Patent 3,008,709. As shown in Fig. 1, a free-rolling ball or roller 12 is force-loaded into a stack of paper sheets 10 to form a depression, exaggerated in the figure. A means (not shown) produces shingling of the stack by movement of ball 12 in direction 13, thus causing the ball to rotate, as shown by arrow 14. Stack platform 11 is spring-loaded in an upward direction, as represented by arrow F. In the alternative, ball 12 could be spring-loaded down onto the stack.
