Conventional packaging for machinery, such as typewriters and the like, utilizes a platform or pallet to which the machine is anchored for shipping. Utilization of the unique spacers, described below and illustrated in the above drawing, contained within the machine covers serves to convert the machine cover itself into an anchor or surface for shipping, thereby eliminating the conventional pallet.
