In many systems the clocking system requires manual intervention to time out wiring and circuit manufacturing tolerances. This may be done by monitoring clock signal test points with an oscilloscope and changing clock delays by a scan ring latch (SRL). The automatic clock adjustment mechanism described below will allow a program to automatically monitor and adjust the clocking system to specification.
