Hull cells are devices used for studying the electroplating of a metal on supports. The test in a Hull cell consists in examining the plating on a support installed as the cathode in the cell containing an electrolytic bath. Due to the specific form of the cell, the local current density on the support varies as the logarithm of the distance between the considered point and the edge of the cathode where the current intensity is the greatest.
