This search box also supports the look-up of an IP.com Digital Signature (also referred to as Fingerprint); enter the 72-, 48-, or 32-character code to retrieve details of the associated file or submission.
Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Circuit for Detecting Missing Power Supply Voltage
Failure of a power supply to a circuit card is detected by a sensing circuit on
During norma 1 operation, NPN transistor Q1 is biased off by voltage diodes
R1 and R2. When Q1 is off, NPN transistor Q2 is biased on by registers R3, R4
and RS. When Q1 is on, Q2 is biased off.
If the negative power supply V(EE) increases in potential toward ground or
zero volts, then the base voltage of Q1 increases to turn Q1 on and Q2 off. If
power supply voltage V(CC) decreases, Q2 base voltage is decreased by
resistive network R3, R4 and RS, and Q2 is cut off. Thus, whenever the absolute
value of V(CC) or V(EE) reaches a much lower level than normal, Q2 cuts off,
and there is an indication that power is missing or too low. Also, if V(CC) is
higher than normal potential, Q1 is turned on and Q2 is cut off; this is also
sensed by the logic.
If load resistor R(L) is placed on the control logic card, any break in circuit
due to wiring defects between the sensing circuit and the control logic will
indicate an error.
