A rack (Fig. 1) for supporting machine components comprises a base perimeter frame 1, a top perimeter frame 2 and four corner posts 3. The struts which form the frames 1 and 2 and posts 3 are constructed from steel sheet, as shown in sections A-D, and are welded together. The flanges C of the corner posts and flanges 5, 6 and 7 of the frame struts are perforated at standard pitching, as desired, to enable bolting on of additional components such as panelling and cover support brackets. A broad flange (section D) provides additional support for base-mounted components and also serves as a mounting for casters (not shown).
