Multi-Purpose Box Erector Table

      Described is a multi-container erector table for use in setting
up flat shipping container boxes.

      The vast number and sizes of box cartons packaged in shipping
and distribution facilities require a tool which significantly
reduces labor in the carton sealing process.  The erector table
precedes the automatic taper in this process.  It securely holds
several unsealed containers to be packaged with parts and cushioning
before entering the automatic box sealer.  The design of the erector
table allows for this process to be operated by only one individual.
Adjustments are not required once the table has been initially set
up.  The number of cartons which can be held at one time is limited
only to the size of the cartons and length of the table.

      The table is designed to accept several different sizes of
boxes used in the shipping and packaging processes.  The table
contains a stainless steel guide which securely holds the box open by
the bottom primary flap for packing.

      This section is secured to a table top and can be adjusted
vertically to allow for horizontal movement of the box across the
table top.  The length of the table determines the size and number of
cartons which can be packaged at one time.

      The procedure used to operate the erector table is to assemble
the box by folding the bottom secondary flaps in to slide over the
