Abstract
Described is a hardware implementation to provide a small tablet size case for housing the electronics of portable computers. The implementation provides the appearance of a tablet style case with the necessary viewing areas, as well as a pivoted handle to facilitate portability.

The implementation provides the appearance of a tablet style case
with the necessary viewing areas, as well as a pivoted handle to
facilitate portability.
Fig. 1a shows
a front view and Fig. 1b shows a side view of the
tablet style appearance design case for portable computers. Fig. 2a
shows a rear view and Fig. 2b shows the side view with the handle
pivoted of the case.
The case
size, as shown in Fig. 1a and Fig. 2a, has an overall
dimension of approximately 11-1/4" x 7-1/2" x 1-5/8" and
incorporates
the required features, such as Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) 10,
microphone 11, speaker 12, lock 13, logo 14.
Fig. 1b shows handle 15
and hinge 16 as it would be positioned to the case.
The rear of
the case, as shown in Fig. 2a, incorporates
magnetic strip 17, which secures the unit in the docking cradle (not
shown), diskettes 18, power and data connection points 19, and
battery
compartment 20. Fig. 2b shows handle 15
in the pivoted position.
