Matrix Input Control
A control,
known as the matrix, that allows users to view,
define, and update list of composite definitions (definitions
comprising several parameters) is disclosed.
Fig. 2. Matrix --
input control panel.
The matrix control
allows users to view, define, and update a
list of composite definitions.
Definitions will be displayed within
a multi-column listbox (MCLB) where each row represents an instance
of the definition and each column represents one of the values that
comprise the definition (Fig. 1).
In order to
maximize the number of instances that are displayed
at a time, the MCLB will take up the entire notebook page, with room
reserved for instructions. As such, the
list provides a review
mechanism. To update the list, the user
would have to select an
entry and press the Change push button to change the definition. To
add a definition, the user would press the ADD pushbutton. In each
case, a window containing input field for the elements of the entry
would be displayed whereby the user could make whatever updates would
be appropriate (Fig. 2).
