Rail Retainer

Disclosed is a plastic snap-action retainer for a book package.

The retainer snaps in place and forces the conductive rails
against the edges of the book covers.  This maintains a constant
on the overlapping rail-to-cover joint that provides Electromagnetic
Compatibility (EMC) protection.

The retainer consists of a cylindrical section that plugs into
holes in the top and bottom book covers.  A spring latch section
passes through the rail and hooks onto a beam, locking the rail to
the covers.  The retainer has been dimensioned to ensure that the
spring section is preloaded when fully hooked (Figure).
