Method of Moving Multiple Icons on Launcher Program
Disclosed is
a user interface of a launcher program on a
Graphical User Interface (GUI) environment such as Windows*,
Windows95*, OS/2**, etc. When using a
launcher program, it is
difficult for users to manipulate numerous icons at one time. This
user interface improves multiple-icon handling.
Fig. 1 shows
an example of a launcher. The user drags
an
icon to a desktop from a launcher (Fig. 2).
However, the icon on a
desktop depends upon the launcher. Fig.
3 shows selecting a command
from a system menu on the launcher.
Then, the user drags a launcher
(Fig. 4). After that, icons on a desktop
are moved automatically
beside a launcher (Fig. 5). This
position is checked automatically
as to whether it is able to display or not.
It is very easy to implement this user interface to other
desktop
shell programs.
