Each box has a content type, such as 'text'. A box with a content
type of 'text' has text contents. A frame line is a line which is an
outer frame of a table.
'Null' is a
special content type for indicating that there are
no contents. A line which is located between two 'null' boxes is not
drawn. A frame line which is close to a 'null' box is also not

(1) create a rectangular table (Fig. 1); (2) pick unnecessary boxes
(Fig. 2; 'X' marks indicate picked boxes), and (3) change the
content type of picked boxes into 'null' (Fig. 3).
