Abstract

Disclosed is a device that provides containment and transportation of different sizes of printed circuit boards. This is accomplished by loading the printed circuit board into the container diagonally. This is a novel contribution to electronic card manufacturers because the industry's standard is to load vertically or horizontally and each size of printed circuit board requires a unique container. Diagonally Loaded Containers for Printed Circuit Boards

      Disclosed is a device that provides containment and
transportation of different sizes of printed circuit boards. This is
accomplished by loading the printed circuit board into the container
diagonally.  This is a novel contribution to electronic card
manufacturers because the industry's standard is to load vertically
or horizontally and each size of printed circuit board requires a
unique container.  See Fig.  1.

      The device consists of four support plates (Fig. 2). The plates
are inserted into a standard card container.  The left plate has
ledges that support the left side of the printed circuit board.  The
right plate is flat and supports the right side of the printed
circuit board.  The top and bottom plates support the left and right
plates and provide repositioning capability of the right plate for
adjustment of ranges of printed circuit board sizes.
