Abstract
The majority of downhole tools for while drilling formation pressure testing employ one or more probes as sealing element (example: TesTrak). This probe is ejected for hydraulic contact between the tool and the formation in order to carry out the formation testing. It is essential, that ejection of the probe takes place only during a pause in the drilling operation. This invention disclosure describes a technology that prevents tool failures due to probe ejection during tool rotation.
