Invention Disclosure:

Current technology utilizes an external wireless system that has to be connected to the camera making a barrier to its usage.  Many systems are difficult to set up and interference can occur easily in a crowded environment.  By embedding the wireless microphone receiver into the camera, it immediately becomes easier to use, as there are no external wires to connect.  Furthermore, when using an external audio source, most cameras will cut off the internal microphone and then only the wireless mic audio will be recorded.  Since many people could possibly use this system at a given event, scrambling or privacy is important.  Thus, a method for privacy is needed.  Whether it be a simple sub audible tone squelch system or a more complex spread spectrum digital method is not important.  However, the feature should be considered in addition to frequency agility.
