SINEMA-E (SIMATIC Network Manager Engineering) is a wireless simulation tool where users can model a complete WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) plant with virtual obstacles, regions and devices etc. After modeling the user will be able to see the simulation of the plant with parameters like signal strength, SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), data-rate etc., which are helpful to the user to know about the coverage of wireless signal with respect to current modeling. So, modeling will be the core part to get the simulation more accurate. The wireless coverage is affected not only by obstacles but also by objects within the building. With SINEMA-E, it is possible to model regions that affect the propagation of electromagnetic waves. These include, for example, high-bay storage racks and machines. The modeling will be done in different ways. In the first known approach, the image will be imported and the plant will be modeled with reference to this image. This is very common and it takes a lot of time to model a large plant.
