A method of Sync/Barrier on CBE

Synchronization is a fundamental challenge in computer science. It is becoming a major performance and design issue for concurrent programming on modern architectures, and for the design of distributed systems. Classic synchronization problems include Producer-consumer problem, Reader-writer problem, and Dinning philosopher problem. Our invention validates and generalizes an optimized synchronization arising in data transferring on CBE. We make use of Atomic (ATO) Unit Cache, called the Atomic cache, to implement a new synchronization method on CBE.
