In hearing instruments the microphone/receiver is glued to the faceplate. Due to misalignment of the microphone/receiver, gaps between the microphone/receiver and the faceplate as well as between the glue and the faceplate can emerge. These gaps can cause receiver feedback. Up to now, the operator tests manually the stability of the microphone/receiver by listening if there is any feedback. If it is the case, the operator performs the needed adjustment. The test for feedback is hence performed manually and depends on the experience of the operator.
