Abstract

Security and privacy becomes the biggest concern for application owner to embrace cloud computing. Although cloud computing is able to save cost for both application owner and cloud owner with consolidation, however, application owner is still worrying whether cloud can protect their data generated by their application, and how to make sure their data won’t be stolen by others including cloud IT administrators. In this article, we proposed a method that can protect database privacy for application owner. It only allows application owner’s own application to access their databases, and prevents both cloud owner and other application owners from accessing them. With this method, application owners don’t need to worry about the privacy and confidentiality of their data, since only their own application can and correctly access them. .
