A System and Method for Inverse Caller Tune

In conventional caller tune feature when a user A calls from his/her mobile to another user B on his/her mobile, A listens to caller tune or ringback tone set by user B. This feature has two drawbacks:
1) User A has to listen to song set by user B.
2) Though user B has paid for caller tune service but he can not listen his tune.

Our disclosed services address these issues by setting up 'inverse caller tune' on caller mobile. In this service caller can setup inverse caller tune by paying subscription fee to telecom provider. Caller can select the songs as per his liking and setup them as inverse caller tune. Whenever caller calls to other person, he/she can listen to caller tune setup by himself until call is connected. So in this feature he is not forced to listen to other person caller tune.

This service can be provided in following two ways:

Service Provider Side Inverse Caller Tune: This aspect covers when service is provided by telecom provider and user has to subscribe this service. Figure 1 shows the new protocol which shows the implementation at provider level. In current communication protocol step 1 to step 10 are required to setup connection between caller and callee. In the current protocol at step 6 once

proxy knows that callee is connected it sends same ring tone to caller while in new protocol at

step 6 caller will listen to the inverse caller tune set by him.
