Accessing websites with cellphones equipped with a touch-screen input device becomes more and more popular. But as the screen size is limited in cellphones, the users often press the wrong links with the fingers when there are many links in the website. The know solution for this problem is to enlarge the whole screen display such as some smart phones did, even though the font is large enough for the user to read. In addition, the user needs to restore the font size to normal after having clicked the links. This problem declines the usability much. The approach proposed in this invention will resolve this problem. For a cellphone with a touch screen, a sensor is supplied with the touch-screen input device. When the user reads the websites, the finger sensor module will detect if the user's finger is close to the touch screen. If yes, the finger sensor module will locate the area that the finger is going to press. After the location area is determined, the appointed area's information will be transferred to the data processing module for fetching the links in this area of the web page. If two or more links are found, the third module “partially zoom-in” will enlarge the appointed area automatically and the links are more easier for the user to press. With this system, the usability of browsing web pages with cellphone will be dramatically enhanced.

Finger sensing is a component of the system proposed in the invention. When user's finger is close to the screen, this component

senses the proximity of the finger and then tells this information to the data processing module of the invention . The data

processing module takes the respective action to deal with the proximity of user's finger.

Because a lot of prior art has been proposed to deal with the sensing of proximity of an object , in this implementation,

like to refer the two arts as disclosed in the following two patents to help implement the sensing component of the invention : US

4267443 "Photoelectric input apparatus", and US 5764223 "Touch-screen input device using the monitor as a light source

operating at an intermediate frequency". The figure 2 below is excerpted from US5764223 to illustrate how to sense the position of

the finger (object).
