This fitting allows one to retrofit/add external testing to the metal-to-metal sealing jamnut pressure fitting in a downhole tool. This invention creates a sealed volume on the outside of the connection that can be connected to a pump to apply a test pressure against the metal-to-metal sealing face of the jamnut.

The concept is to manufacture a screen section or a casing section that simulates a laterolog resistivity measurement, isolating the electrodes with fiber glass sections. The electrodes are being monitor and feed with a control line from surface. The two only way actually to monitor resistivity in a casd hole enviroment is with the deployment of a fiber glass casing and then run a conventional resisitivity measurement through wireline or pipe convey.
