Silicone Formulation with DeposilkTM Q Series Polymers

The Silicone Formulation with Deposilk Q Series Poly- mers provides formulators with an illustration of De- posilk Q Series Polymers' ability to deposit silicone ef- fectively in a silicone-containing system. By achieving deposition of ingredients like silicone while enhancing sensory properties, the polymer can provide formula- tions with increased conditioning, flexibility and effi- cacy.

As illustrated in the adjacent graph, in-vitro silicone retention studies using this formulation suggest that relative to a no polymer control and industry standard polyquaternium-10, a Deposilk Q Series Polymer can yield higher levels of silicone deposition. Testing was conducted by applying the formulation on in-vitro skin and then immersing it in DI water. Water sample measurements enabled calculation of the silicone oil retained on the in-vitro skin across time.
