The Passive Deflector is a dual-baffle design which directs air and noise away from the mainframe system and upwards toward the sound absorptive ceiling tiles above the manufacturing facility. The deflectors are light-weight, portable, and fully passive (requiring no external power). The deflectors should be lined with foam liner to add noise absorption to the design. The deflectors attack the noise problem at the source, which is the most effective and least expensive method. This is ideally suited for the manufacturing environment.
