Physically Dynamic Screen that Displays Interfaces Based on Location of the Bend

Current monitors and other large displays are only used as rigid touch screens. This does not provide a comfortable method to conduct multiple tasks simultaneously. Dual screen monitors are separated by a visible bezel and are constrained to the physical size of the screen. This invention proposes a single screen that will bend at one or more angles to allow for the accommodation of multiple different user interfaces, being presented simultaneously.

A person can grab the screen and bend at one or more locations on that screen which will adjust the UI to accommodate the angle. In the example image above the user will pull out the bottom of the screen in order to accommodate keyboard input. This is not limited to keyboard input, nor is it limited to a bend along the vertical axis. A bend along the horizontal axis could create a "Dual Screen" effect which would present two different interfaces that are now separated by a visible fold.

All examples have been for bending the screen towards the primary user. However, there is also a possibility to bend the screen away from the primary user to present a different interface to a secondary user. An example may be an employee at a cash register that is using the screen to input items.
