The problem solved by this invention is the disk shroud breakage due to filter inlet/outlet. By minimizing the breakage, we can reduce flow induced vibration. This invention also addresses the particle clean up time which relies on the inflow and outflow conditions. Some of the known solutions to minimize FIV: (1) Reduce gap between disk edge and base wall, (2) Increase damper plate size, etc. Often times the known solutions create adverse effects such as: (1) Difficulty of controlling the quality of component & assembly, (2) The increase in power consumption, (3) Poor contamination cleanup, etc.
