This article describes a method to unlock mobile device with the help of equipped accelerometer. Mobile phones are widely used in people's daily life. Nowadays, people usually use character password or gesture to unlock their mobile phones(or devices). However, in some situations, such as cold winter, people were unwilling to get their hands out of gloves. Moreover, the cold weather may cause the touchable screen react abnormally. So a method of unlock the mobile device without touching is needed to help in these situations.

This invention provides a new method of unlocking mobile phones by shaking or leaning motion.

There are a lot of cases in which users are complained about their screen didn't react to their finger gesture. Those cases can be found from support forums of every mobile phone.

Also in the support website of those mobile phones, it normally will suggest that the operation temperatures should between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F),otherwise the device may change its behavior.

Another article from accelerometer support website indicates that accelerometer is stable during the temerature varies , refer the figure below.
