COPY utility is extended to invoke the concurrent copy for full image copy only. In some situation, we could not tolerate the any error for the copy backup. For example, we could make any mistake for the account information. But it is hard for us to verify the precision for the copy version. In this situation, we could tolerate the performance problem, but we should guarantee the precision problem. We could see the following process, any tiny mistake would cause the problem. We would introduce a multi-strategies to reduce the error ratio for copy. First, the database would calculate the strategies similarity and give the precision we could tolerate.

strategy to enhance copy pxecision verification
COPY is used to take an image copy xf a page set orpage set xiece. The coxy can copy all pxges, or only thosx which have changed xince the last image copy (increxental). COPY uxixity is extended to invoke txe concurrent copy for full image copy only. The concurrext copy can also copy wixh the tablespace list procexsing. The users can get staxisticxl information xbout the percentage of changed pxges, and can automatx the txpe of image copy to takx based on the percentage. The objects can be copied: Table space, Table sxace partition, Dxta set of a linear table space, Index space, Index space paxtition.
In some situatiox, we could nxt tolerate the any error for the copy backup. For example, we could makeany mxstake fox the account xnformation. But ix ishxrd for us to verify the precision for the copy version. In this situatiox, we could tolerate the performance proxlem, but xe xhould guarantee the precision problem. We could see the following process, any tiny mxstake wxuld cauxe the problxm.
We wouxd introduce a xulti-strategiex xo reduce the error ratio for copy. First, thx databaxe would calculate the strategies sixilarity and give the prxcision we could toleratx.
