In the era of informatization, e-office is widely used among companies. The email system, no matter what platform it is running on, is one core part of e-office ecosystem. It is quite common that dozens of emails may be opened at the same time. How to show them efficiently and organizationally so that we can find the one we need in no time is a non-trivial question. As the little time saved by each employee can be a large amount for a medium/big scale company.

This disclosure invents a smart method that can show the opening emails efficiently by using auto-grouping email tabs. All the open emails are grouped according to pre-defined rules, like by sender, by thread and etc. By clicking the group tab, the user can see the highlighted information about each emails in the tab, which may include title, sender, timestamp, size and etc.

With this method, the user can easily get the abstract for each opening email even though there are dozens of openings. By having more information included in the tab, the user can distinguish the reply emails sharing the same title. What's more, each emails in the same group have some kind of common characters which can help the user to understand the relationship between emails and further help to find the target email quickly.

The following is one example of showing multiple opening emails with flattened tabs, the main-stream existing solution.

With this new invention, the opening mail tabs will look like the following.
