Intuitive, flexible screen keyboard

Disclosed is an application for an intuitive and flexible screen keyboard that learns the user's ability and modifies screen keyboard layout in response. Machine learning techniques combined with a learning phase allow the application to learn how the user types. A feedback loop allows the application to constantly respond and improve its flexibility and aid to the user.

    Example indicators the application could use to determine the requirement for change, and the relevant response, include:
- difficulty in typing words correctly, therefore the application would increase the percentage of the screen used for keyboard. There is a distinction between spelling incorrectly (correctly typing the incorrect letters) and difficulty in typing (finger does not tap character in the centre of character button or requires several attempts)
- frequent/infrequent use of certain characters, increase/decrease the percentage of the screen used for those characters
- difficulty in typing (or reaching) certain characters, increase the percentage of the screen used for those characters, or move those characters to suit the user's ability.

    This application is different from pre-existing keyboard inventions. Article [1] describes screen surfaces that mimic physical keyboards, and does not reference learning the user's ability to type. [2] describes a flexible hardware keyboard setup using switches and membranes; this is not applicable to existing devices that use screen keyboards.
