Emerging wireless technologies like 4G are gaining popularity and are being launched across the world by Telecom service providers. While 4G wireline technology is able to provide 1Gbps speed, the wireless technologies are expected to provide 300 Mbps at motion and 1 Gbps at sedentary. On the other hand technologies have evolved where video can be transmitted through the glasses worn by the person. In this invention we leverage such technologies for providing remote guidance and assistance to visually challenged and visually and hearing challenged.

Various technologies including trained dogs exist to guide challenged people. Such mechanisms have a limited capability (for example leveraging the expertise of guided dogs) or leveraging another human directly is costly and can be overcome by our invention.

Our invention will help challenged to perform various day to day activities including movement tracking, remote reading and exam assistance, validating integrity of interactions with III party for example in handling money, safety, in take of appropriate medicines etc.

Problem in detail

As discussed in the back ground section, technologies like smart glasses which deliver remote real time view and high bandwidth while at motion are emerging.

On the other hand Visually or Visually and hearing challenged humans face extreme struggle to execute their day to day activities as they have to depend upon other humans or animals. Leveraging animals has limitations and engaging humans is even costlier and is not affordable in many cases.

We propose an integrated solution leveraging technologies to provide remote assistance to humans termed as RHMCs. RHMCs can be established off shore (where costs are lesser) or locally as well.

Current model:

Assistance is provided by animals or other humans.


Figure below shows the solution. On demand or other wise the user gets connected to the RHMC agent. The foot print video gets captured and is transmitted via the direct wireless technology enabled glass or through integrated interface.

In integrated model the mobile device, the glasses, the special language interface may share the single bandwidth.

The operator will be able to adjust the focus of the glasses from remote for better visibility or zoom to view specific areas.

The operator will be able to provide audio based instructions or provide remote signals to special interface to translate to language understood by the visually and hearing impaired
The operator under secured environments will be able to assist in writing exams etc for the user
