At times user may be required to attend multiple conferences at the same time. In this system we propose a system that can allow a user to attend multiple conferences in tandem while switching attention across them through useful aides provided by the system.

The key feature is to : Provide a user with a unified conferencing system to have a truly unified communication across multiple groups at the same time using a single end point. A unified conference is a conference that takes the form of a audio video  conference at the server side but it can be interfaced using audio video interface OR text chat interface at the client side. The system comprises of intelligent client that unifies the user experience in a  way that

The user can attend multiple unified conferences at the same time. One of the conference, the primary conference chosen by the user, will be  presented as Audio video conference to the user. The other conferences (secondary conferences), will be presented in a  Rich chat interface. The Rich chat interface will be capable of providing the attention trigger notification (the user name has been called out in that conference) when the user needs to provide some attention to that conference. The attention trigger notification when attended by the user (possibly by  clicking some button), he/she will be presented with the last asked query in text or audio format. In case, the user does not understand the query and needs more context, on subsequent interaction (subsequent click on the button), the user will be presented the summary. The user can switch between the conferences seamlessly by deciding to - 

Either provide a quick response in the chat interface or  Choose to switch across the conference and make some other conference  as the primary conference.

The newly selected primary conference will then be presented as the audio  video conference while the earlier primary conference will be converted to be presented using the chat interface.

The client will create and maintain a single set of audio video channels with  the conference mixer unit (CMU) and the same will be used when some other conference is made primary. The client will also create a single text channel with the Conference Mixer Unit.  This text channel will carry all the conversations for the secondary conferences using time-division multiplexing. The Conference Mixer Unit will be designed to handle the communication with a 


single client in a novel way such that the client is able to use only 3 channels (Audio, Video, Text) for attending multiple conferences. The other users participating in the conferences that this user is involved with,  will see the different status about this user.
