Efficiently using software tools increases productivity; however, many software applications have functionalities that are not obvious (are “hidden”) to all users, which deprives those users of maximum efficiency.
For instance, when a long number or a long string populates a cell in an MS Excel* worksheet, it is not entirely visible. If the user wants to read the full number, then one tactic is to select the cell and drag the border of the column to the right to see the full number/string. If the number/string is very long, then the user must manually continue dragging the column border. A more efficient tactic for viewing the entire cell is not obvious to all users: double-click the column edge to automatically expand the cell to the end of the content. If the user never searches for on-line help or asks friends, the user might never know about this trick.
A system or method is needed to bring practical insights to users (e.g., from friends, coworkers, etc.) through the application, and improve the user’s efficiency.

Alternatively, the system can launch a just-in-time video demonstrating the features in the software application. The system might also add a tab to the toolbox that provides a view of commonly used features in the same appli...
