Abstract

Drawing on a digital whiteboard that is paired to a companion online meeting software application enables the whiteboard to push/pull data from the application. A symbol may have an equivalent in the application, meaning that similar symbol elements on the whiteboard and the application share states. As an example, if a symbol is drawn to represent calling on the whiteboard (e.g., a camera icon), that icon may be used to call everyone in that space. If there is a missed call, the camera icon on the whiteboard could be badged with a missed call symbol (e.g., red circle with '1') to indicate that there was one missed call.
