The disclosure is related to an electrically floating heatsink for electric power converter devices, such as frequency converters or inverters. In this disclosure, a solution is suggested in which the problem source IGBT and its heatsink has been electrically insulated from ground potential in order to minimize the capacitive coupling. The embodiments of this disclosure can decrease the bearing current of the motor and the radiated emissions of the converter device.
