The present invention relates to an arrangement and a method for filling a cooling system in a vehicle. The cooling system comprises a coolant circuit configured to cool one or more electrical components of the vehicle. The vehicle is a hybrid vehicle or an electrical vehicle and the electrical components may comprise one or more battery units and/or power electronic units and/or electric motor and/or electric transmission. The cooling system further comprises a radiator for cooling the coolant, a pump configured to circulate the coolant in the coolant circuit, an expansion tank arranged at a lower position relative to the radiator, a static line extending between the expansion tank and a part of the coolant circuit. The cooling system further comprises at least one deareation line extending between the radiator and the expansion tank. The cooling system comprises a filling device such as a filling nipple arranged in the coolant circuit. The arrangement comprises a valve member arranged in the static line. The valve member is configured to provide a closed position for preventing coolant flow via the static line to the expansion tank during the coolant filling process. Hereby the coolant is forced to go through the radiator with the air being evacuated from the radiator to the expansion tank.
