Abstract

The disclosure is related to troubleshooting of automation devices, such as electric drives, by combining low bandwidth permanent IoT (Internet of Things) connection and temporary high bandwidth Internet connections by the help of a mobile device. The disclosure presents a solution in which an automation device sends periodically remote monitoring data to a cloud service using a low bandwidth connection. A high bandwidth connection is of temporary on-demand type and is established by the help of a mobile device. The mobile device reads service related information from the automation device, creates an information package, and sends it to the cloud service. Data analysis can made for the service package in the cloud service.
