Several advantages are shown when adding VistamaxxTM Propylene-Based Polymers (VistamaxxTM) to High Melt Strength Propylenes (HMS PP) for extrusion foaming, good melt strength and pronounced strength hardening; better melt elasticity and viscosity balance lead to better processability and fine foam cell structure. Thus, combination of the advantage from resin elasticity and foam structure, mechanical property of foam sample changes a lot, from brittle to tough, elongation at break (MD) could be achieve as high as 150%, while the modulus doesn't drop much.
