The present invention relates to a method and system to adapt an internal combustion engine inducement system, especially an inducement system relating to torque limitation, to different legal requirements in two different geographical regions. A control system configured to control the internal combustion engine comprises, or is connected to, a memory which comprises information about local legal requirements valid for inducements systems in at least two different locations. A switch is provided in a software of the control system of the vehicle. The switch is configured to be regulated so that legal requirements effective for the current location are chosen. By the switch, which can be operated manually or automatically, the current legal requirements can be applied to parameters for controlling the engine. The control system can be connected to a GPS-system, which may determine the current location of the vehicle.
